An apparatus is any object you’re using to dance with. This could be floor, chair, pole, aerial fabric, etc. Many people are surprised to find that there are different types of apparatuses! The basics of movement are the foundational elements that support all styles of dance and physical expression. These include posture, alignment, breath, weight shifts, balance, transitions and body awareness. Mastering these essentials builds control, confidence, and the ability to move with intention—whether you're on the floor, in the air, or somewhere in between.

Not everyone wants to dance in heels but, for those who do, we’ll walk you through the best way to put on and secure your dance heels for safety, support, and style. From checking the fit to adjusting straps and preparing your feet, we’ll cover everything you need to feel confident and comfortable dancing in heels. Nope! Movement arts are going to be a challenge whether you have a fitness background or not. We are incorporating dance, gymnastics, climbing, dynamic movements, weight lifts & shifts, balance, agility and a plethora of other elements. We start from the very beginning so you can choose which directions you want to go and which elements you want to focus on.

Depending on which studio you join, you may or may not want an apparatus. The On The Floor Studio was built for all floor based movements meaning you will not need an apparatus. The In The Air Studio was built for aerialists and pole dancers so you will want access to the appropriate apparatus and associated equipment in order to get the most out of your membership.

Dance is like any other movement art. You choose which style or type of dance you want to experience. Everyone starts out with the basics for safety, as you progress, you can choose which path best suits your movement style.
